Overlord's Fungeon

Made for the Cebu Game Developer's Game Jam Competition of 2018

The game takes 4 players who are prisoners to the Overlord in a various series of challenges similar to that of WarioWare games by Nintendo. Accomplishing these tasks will reward the players with points and whoever owns the most points within the 2 minutes timer will win the game. A unique mechanic this game has is the "sabotage" mechanic where in players may push their respective players out of the current minigame played and into their deaths and will be rewarded with double the intended amount of points. The sabotage mechanic provides a unique player dynamic throughout the match is makes for an exciting and replayable game.

The design goal for this particular project was to create a local multiplayer experience with incredible replay factor in mind. We also try maintaining a simple gameplay loop with unique optional elements to spice things up. We also did some research based on our prior contest entries in order to win and took an understanding with the small filipino audience and their preferred taste in gameplay while keeping up with the team's preferred creative vision as well.

The game is unavailable to play on itch as the project is inaccessible as of the creation of this portfolio. Good thing there is footage on youtube!
