Made for a semester long assignment for my Game Design Class at the University of Calgary of 2022.
The assignment was too create a game of ANY genre except shooter (too cliché apparently). The game is designed with the goal being a dungeon crawling puzzle game involving the concepts of fire and ice for kids.
The game's main mechanic is a "heat" mechanic in which players melt certain parts of a dungeon made of ice based on the current "heat" level released by them by charging prior to launching their own body. The game was designed for ages 8 and up in mind and so the game's levels and enemies are designed to be simple, but effective, to create a learning space for younger players to find patterns to complete the level.
The game was not able to complete all the 10 planned levels. However, the game itself does feature 3 playable levels with all mechanics in place along with a boss level as the final level. The game also features music, a story cutscene, and unique endings based on certain conditions met.
